a wind farm at sunset

taken with Zorki 3M ~ Jupiter 12

If you ever get the chance, stop in the middle of a wind farm and just listen. There’s something about the whirl of those big blades that’s so peaceful.

"Don't sit there watching the wind. Do your own work. Don't stare at the clouds. Get on with your life.” Ecclesiastes 11:4 MSG

Jan from RFF ; I drive thru Pincher Ck AB a couple of times each year. There are some huge windmills there. Blades as long as the wings of a 747. Sometimes i like the sound , just depends. Lots of different sized and shaped windmills there too.

Yeah, the first time my wife and I stopped here was by accident. We were just taking a break from the Interstate and pulled up to take a look at the big blades. When we got out of the car to stretch our legs, we neither one spoke for several minutes; just listened. She finally broke the silence with, "Wow, that's pretty nice."

thanks for the compliment, marius. my wife has to put up with me coming to sudden stops when we travel ... :) but sometimes I like the outcome.
