They passed by each other, but didn't speak.
"Let brotherly love continue. Don't neglect to show hospitality, for by doing this some have welcomed angels as guests without knowing it."(Hebrews 13:1-2 HCSB)

for rent

I always notice old buildings; like their bricks are telling stories. I saw this simple For Rent sign and wondered about the former tenants... and who might be interested in it.
"Jesus looked over his shoulder and said to them, "What are you after?" They said, "Rabbi" (which means "Teacher"), "where are you staying?" He replied, "Come along and see for yourself." They came, saw where he was living, and ended up staying with him for the day."

This kid is like mesmerized by a flop-earred rabbit. I can't tell if he's planning something with the blanket or just forgot to let go of it when he left the bunk house.
“Some people were even bringing infants to Him so He might touch them, but when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. Jesus, however, invited them: ‘Let the little children come to Me, and don't stop them, because the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I assure you: Whoever does not welcome the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.’" (Luke 18:15-17 HCSB)

Captured this moment at a bus station in Ft. Smith, Arkansas, this is one of the first shots I took with a Soviet camera and still one of my favorites. I like the detail in the brick and the variety of windows.

This fella had quite a travel-weary look, staring at the board to see the update on his next flight. I hope he was headin' home.
“And by the way, get a room ready for me. Because of your prayers, I fully expect to be your guest again.”

There's nothing like making a long flight just to get to sit for a long time waiting on your ride home.

Gossip. Sometimes you just can't believe it.

I guess back in the day, you'd call this a parking lot. I liked the paintings on the side of the barn.

old barn
taken with Zorki 4 ~ Jupiter 8
I love old barns. Something about an old barn makes me want to walk inside and look around; maybe poke around and look for signs of yesterday and the people that worked there. This is one on a friend's dairy farm in Illinois.
"Don't collect for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal. But collect for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves don't break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." ~ "I will do this,' he said. 'I'll tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and store all my grain and my goods there. Then I'll say to myself, "You have many goods stored up for many years. Take it easy; eat, drink, and enjoy yourself."' "But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your life is demanded of you. And the things you have prepared--whose will they be?' (Matthew 6:19-21 HCSB ~ Luke 12:18-20 HCSB)

”I am delighted over the presence of Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus, because these men have made up for your absence. For they have refreshed my spirit and yours. … Traveling through the country, passing from one gathering to another, he gave constant encouragement, lifting their spirits and charging them with fresh hope.” (1 Corinthians 16:17-18 HCSB & Acts 20:2 MSG)

Ray and Lenny tag-teaming a big story. Of course, the plastic spoon in Lenny's pocket gives away the fact that he's just passing time until the apple pie and ice cream arrive.
“Iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens another. … Friends come and friends go, but a true friend sticks by you like family.” (Proverbs 27:17 NASB & Proverbs 18:24 MSG)
